Frequently asked questions

What counts as a "monitored resource"?

Any discrete cloud resource that KernelRun tracks for cost and usage — compute instances, managed databases, caching layers, container clusters, serverless functions, object storage buckets, and networking resources. Resources that are stopped or deleted don't count toward your limit.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes. You can upgrade at any time and the change takes effect immediately. Downgrading takes effect at your next renewal date. We'll prorate any differences automatically.

Do you support all cloud providers?

KernelRun currently connects to the three major cloud platforms plus several regional providers. We're adding new integrations regularly. If you need a specific provider, contact us and we'll tell you where it sits on the roadmap.

How does the trial work?

Connect your cloud accounts and run the full Growth feature set for 14 days. No card required. At the end of the trial, you pick a plan — or don't, and your access pauses until you decide.

What permissions does KernelRun need?

Read-only access to billing and resource inventory APIs. We publish the exact permission set for each cloud provider in our documentation. Scheduling requires limited write permissions on specific resource types, but only for the environments you configure.

Is there a minimum contract for Enterprise?

Enterprise contracts are annual. We don't do month-to-month for Enterprise given the custom onboarding and dedicated support involved. Talk to us and we'll put together a proposal that works for your budget cycle.

Not sure which plan fits?
